Buffalo Creek & Gauley

This is a relatively new prototype S scale model railroad by a Master Model Railroader. It is a 25 x 12 foot room with 50 feet of mainline and a logging branch line. The track work is 80% complete and the scenery 30%. The railroad is set in West Virginia depicting the Buffalo Creek & Gauley Railroad running from the B&O interchange at Dundon to the sawmill at Swandale. All prototype-based structures are scratch built as are the engines and the rolling stock. The most enjoyable aspect of the hobby for this modeler is prototype modeling. NCE with radio throttles is the DCC control system and the engines all have sound. Access is by stairs to the lower level.
